The Republican Unitary Enterprise “Gomel Center for Standardization, Metrology, and Certification” is one of the leading regional centers subordinate to the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus.
The goal of our enterprise is to create conditions for ensuring the safety, quality and competitiveness of domestic products and services, eliminating technical barriers to trade, protecting the interests of consumers, and introducing innovations for the sustainable development of the economy of the Republic of Belarus.
Main tasks:
- Organization of work on the implementation of a unified policy in the Republic of Belarus in the field of technical regulation and standardization, metrology and conformity assessment in the serviced region.
- Ensuring effective protection of the interests of all interested parties - the state and consumers in the area of quality of products, works and services, as well as processes that ensure their safety for human life and the environment.
- Involvement of organizations and the business community of the region in the process of developing progressive state, interstate and European standards.
- Ensuring the uniformity of measurements in the serviced region by conducting state metrological control (state testing, verification, calibration, metrological certification of measuring instruments, expert verification of measuring instruments, metrological confirmation of the suitability of measurement methods).
- Organization and implementation of work on conformity assessment of products, works, services and management systems.
The State Enterprise "Gomel CSMS" carries out activities in the field of technical regulation and standardization, metrology, conformity assessment, product testing for conformity assessment, repair and maintenance of measuring instruments in the following areas:
- verification, metrological certification, calibration of measuring instruments;
- repair and maintenance of measuring instruments;
- metrological confirmation of the suitability of the MVI;
- certification of testing equipment;
- certification (declaration) of products;
- certification (declaration) of services;
- management systems certification;
- providing analytical and explanatory assistance in the creation of management systems;
- provision of reference and information services (distribution of official publications of the State Standard);
- work on participation in the discussion of draft interstate standards with the involvement of industrial and business organizations of the Gomel region;
- testing of food, agricultural products, products intended for children and adolescents, light industry products, packaging;
- quality control of construction and installation works, testing of construction products and materials, personal protective equipment, containers, packaging;
- radiation testing of food, agricultural and forestry products;
- electromechanical testing of electrical products, personal protective equipment and electrophysical measurements;
- tate testing of measuring instruments;
- In addition, the center takes an active part in organizing and holding the first stage of the competition "Best Goods of the Republic of Belarus".
